Wife of Yasin Malik Appointed Special Advisor to Pak Caretaker PM

Mushaal Hussein Mali, the wife of Yasin Malik, has been called on to hold a powerful position – special advisor to the Caretaker PM of Pakistan. After the exit of former PM Shehbaaz Sharif from the post, Pakistan has appointed Anwaarul Haq Kakar as their Caretaker PM, and Malik will directly work with him during the course of his tenure. She will hold the department of human rights and women empowerment, according to PTI. Along with her, President Arif Alvi has also named four other special advisors to the Caretaker PM as well.

Mushaal Malik is a Pakistani national who is married to terrorist Yasin Malik, who has been jailed for his crime. Yasin Malik had been associated with Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) and had taken up arms against India. He was arrested and imprisoned for murdering four Indian Air Force officers and kidnapping the daughter of then Home Minister Mufti Mohammad. While the NIA continues to demand a death sentence for him, Mushaal, being the wife of Yasin Malik, has been given much recognition in Pakistan and continues to demand her husband’s release.
