WhatsApp now allows you to edit sent messages
WhatsApp boasts millions of users around the world and keeps introducing updates in the app from time to time. However, its latest update will come as a relief for every user, as the app has now made it possible for us to edit messages that have already been sent; but you can only do so till 15 minutes after the text is sent. To edit your message, all you need to do is tap and hold on the message and select ‘Edit’ after the option appears on the screen.
WhatsApp recently introduced the ‘Chat Lock’ feature in the app, where you can select your private contacts and add another layer of security to their chats. To open these chats, you must put in your password or biometrics that are registered on your device. WhatsApp has been under fire for the alleged breach of privacy after its mic was said to automatically turn on. After India’s IT Ministry asked for clarification on the matter, WhatsApp responded by saying it occurred due to a bug in the system that notifies the mic is on even when it isn’t. More details on this matter are expected soon.
