West Indies Defeat Team India to Win the T20 Series

The final T20 match between West Indies and team India resulted in another big loss for skipper Hardik Pandya and Co., who have been visibly struggling throughout this series. They fought back to level the series 2-2, but West Indies clinched the final decider with a convincing win. They bowled first and dismissed Indian openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubhman Gill early yet again, as they scored only 5 and 9, respectively. Suryakumar Yadav came to his team’s rescue yet again as he smashed 61 runs off 45 balls with 4 fours and 3 sixes. Tilak Verma supported him well by hitting a handy 27 runs, but the two were sent back to the pavilion in quick succession.


The following middle and lower order made a mediocre attempt to push the scoreboard up but could barely manage to reach 165 in 20 overs. In response, West Indies opener Brandon King demolished Indian bowlers as he amassed an impressive 85 off just 55 balls, with his knock boasting of 5 fours and 6 sixes. While Kyle Mayers got out early, Nicholas Pooran joined King and added more pace to their attack. In the end, West Indies easily crossed their target and finished at 171 runs in just 18 overs. The Windies have won 3-2 against team India, who continue to struggle to build a winning momentum.
