Vivo’s sub-brand, iQOO, is gearing up to launch its next flagship smartphone, the iQOO 13, in China in the coming weeks. A global release is expected by the end of 2024. This highly anticipated device is not just about power, but also about durability. It’s rumored to feature Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, making it one of the most powerful smartphones of the year. In addition, the iQOO 13 will sport an IP68-rated build, ensuring dust and water resistance, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for enhanced security. While the iQOO 12, released last November, supported 120W wired charging, the iQOO 13 will reportedly scale back to 100W wired charging. However, it will also help with Power Delivery (PD) charging, and the box will include a USB-C to USB-C cable, similar to the Vivo X100 series.

The phone is expected to have a USB 3.0 port for faster data transfer, alongside an upgraded display. Reports suggest the iQOO 13 will feature a superior panel compared to the BOE X2 Oriental screen, with improved color accuracy, brightness, and refresh rate.  In terms of display, the smartphone is rumored to come with a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, a visual treat offering 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate, making it perfect for high-definition visuals and smooth scrolling. With up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage, the iQOO 13 promises top-tier performance for power users. It is also likely to be equipped with a sizable 6,150mAh battery, ensuring long-lasting usage.
