Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has accused the Congress and Samajwadi Party (SP) of attempting to divide society, drawing parallels with Muhammad Ali Jinnah’s role in partitioning India. Addressing a district-level employment fair in Aligarh, Adityanath condemned the opposition for allegedly fostering societal discord and anarchy through caste-based divisions. The Chief Minister criticized the SP’s record on women’s safety, referencing controversial remarks by Mulayam Singh Yadav and Akhilesh Yadav’s silence on various incidents. He also slammed the opposition for undermining social cohesion and using appeasement tactics to detract from development.
Adityanath highlighted Uttar Pradesh’s progress since 2017, emphasizing employment and security as key components of good governance. He warned that a return to SP rule could lead to instability and disorder, citing recent employment fairs and loans granted to MSMEs as examples of his government’s achievements. The event saw the distribution of appointment letters, tablets, and smartphones to youths and students, with the Chief Minister emphasizing the importance of continuing progress in the state. He urged the public to ensure that the state’s development trajectory remains uninterrupted.
