Union Minister Anurag Thakur: Congress Conspiring to Insult Indian Culture

Union Minister Anurag Thakur is among the most vocally active politicians in the BJP camp who remains at the forefront of representing his party on several political issues. As the nation moves closer to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, he has taken on the Congress party and accused them of hatching a conspiracy to belittle Bharat’s culture and identity. In a recent press conference, Thakur referred to the Congress party’s recent defeats in state elections, saying that instead of analysing the reason for their losses, the party and their alliance partners blame the EVMs and insult Sanatan Dharma.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur questioned Congress for remaining aligned with the DMK party despite their leaders openly slandering Hindu religion and culture. Thakur’s rebuttal comes just a day after DMK leader DNV Senthil Kumar called the Hindi heartland ‘gaumutra states’ in reference to the BJP’s recent election victories in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. Recently, DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin, who is the son of Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin, compared Sanatan Dharma to diseases like dengue and malaria and called for its eradication, which caused a huge uproar across the nation.
