Tripura CM Manik Saha: Manipur Problem Will be Solved Soon 

Tripura CM Manik Saha has made a strong statement regarding the fragile situation in Manipur in his recent interview with PTI, which claims that all steps are being taken to resolve the escalating situation in its neighbouring state. He believes that such tribal tensions have taken place in the state before as well and will be properly tackled in times to come. “It has happened before in Manipur. I do believe in due course, the matter will be solved.” He also emphasised Tripura’s developmental plans for their own tribal communities to address all the issues the face.

While Tripura CM Manik Saha has shown complete faith in the Centre and State government’s plan of action in Manipur, the Opposition leaders have been protesting against the Modi government on this matter which has brought the Indian Parliament to a standstill. The tensions remain high between the Metei and Kuki communities of Manipur after violent clashes broke out between the two groups. The recently emerged video of two women being paraded in a naked state has further added fuel to the fire in this clash, which has created a volatile atmosphere in Manipur.
