‘The Guerrilla 450’: Royal Enfield model one can consider buying after Cafe Racer
Royal Enfield unveiled its new line-up of motorcycles, ‘The Guerrilla 450.’ The unveiling was caught on July 17, wherein the introductory price was set to Rs. 2.39 Lakhs(Ex-Showroom price)
The brand announced the reservations for the new Guerrilla 450, with test rides and retail sales set to begin by August 1, 2024. The Guerrilla 450 is a roadster derived from the Sherpa 450 platform. The bike boasts a 452cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled Sherpa engine, producing 40PS at 8,000 rpm and 40Nm of peak torque at 5,500 rpm. Over 85 percent of this torque is available starting at 3000 rpm, providing a spirited performance. The motorcycle has a 4-valve DOHC setup, emphasizing its roadster capabilities. It will be marketed as the Royal Enfield GRR 450 in most Latin American markets, with three variants – Analogue, Dash, and Flash – and five color options.
In the UK, it is priced at £4,850 MSRP; in Germany, it is priced at €5,290 MSRP, with retail sales in Europe beginning in mid-August. Siddhartha Lal, managing director of Eicher Motors Ltd., the parent company of Royal Enfield, expressed excitement about the new model, stating that the Guerrilla 450 embodies the essence of modern roadsters, offering a distinct and exhilarating riding experience. He emphasized that while it shares the same platform as the Himalayan, it is finely tuned for roadster performance, making it feel uniquely different. Govindarajan, CEO of Royal Enfield, described the Guerrilla 450 as a “gorgeous and game-changing roadster,” highlighting its innovative design and performance. The launch of the Guerrilla 450 marks a significant addition to Royal Enfield’s lineup, aimed at delivering a bold and dynamic riding experience to enthusiasts worldwide.
