Telangana CM KCR calls PM a ‘Good Friend’
Telangana CM KCR is among the most seasoned opposition leader in Indian politics and has been firmly against PM Narendra Modi and his governance from the beginning. However, KCR has now made a warm remark towards the Prime Minister, calling him a good friend ahead of the opposition meeting, where all the major leaders will strategise how to defeat the Modi-led BJP in the 2024 elections. As per Republic, he said, “Modi Ji is my good friend. We have exchanged our ideas on multiple occasions. During meetings like for NITI Aayog, we discuss best practices in the state when something good happens in Kerala or in Telangana. There is nothing new in it.”
Telangana CM KCR was also among the many opposition leaders who had boycotted the inauguration of India’s new Parliament building. While some boycotted this ceremony to protest the absence of President Draupadi Murmu, others did so, stating that there was no need for a new Parliament building. KCR’s positive remark towards PM Modi has now raised speculations about his role against BJP in the upcoming General Elections due next year. However, there are no indications that can suggest any political understanding between BJP and KCR’s Bhartiya Rashtriya Samithi (BRS).
