Tamed pets of Congress demonstrating their impaired speech
Congress leader Sam Pitroda stirred controversy with a remark comparing Indians from different regions to various ethnic groups during an interview. He described Indians in the East as resembling Chinese, those in the West as resembling Arabs, those in the North possibly as white, and those in the South as looking like Africans. Prime Minister Narendra Modi condemned the statement as racist and unacceptable, emphasizing the unity of all Indians regardless of appearance. He linked Pitroda’s remark to Congress’s actions in the 2022 presidential election, suggesting a connection between Pitroda’s statement and Congress’s strategy.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut criticized Pitroda’s remark as divisive and offensive. BJP leaders Ravi Shankar Prasad and CR Kesavan slammed Pitroda’s comment, with Prasad calling him a failure who doesn’t understand India. Kesavan labeled Pitroda as the “Shakuni” of the Congress party and demanded his expulsion. The Congress party distanced itself from Pitroda’s analogy, calling it unfortunate and unacceptable. This incident isn’t the first time Pitroda has sparked controversy, as he previously advocated for an inheritance tax, drawing criticism from the BJP and PM Modi. Pitroda clarified that his comments on the inheritance tax were merely an example and not indicative of any party’s policy.
