Supriya Sule denies rumours of a rift with Ajit Pawar
Member of Parliament and NCP leader Supriya Sule has put all the rumours surrounding the family feud with her cousin Ajit Pawar to rest. Pawar has been reportedly distancing himself from the party by skipping key meetings after Sule and NCP’s other major leader Praful Patel were jointly appointed as working Presidents over him. Sule has called all reports claiming Ajit Pawar to be ‘unhappy’ with this decision as ‘gossip’. Pawar has himself come forward to refute these claims by making a brief statement on this matter.
As per a Republic report, he said, “Some media reports claim that I am unhappy that the party did not give any responsibility to me is wrong. Our committee was formed at that time when Sharad Pawar resigned. Two decisions are to be taken at that time. The first was to request Sharad Pawar to withdraw his resignation, and the second was to appoint Supriya Sule as a working President, and it was suggested when the committee was formed.” Although all seems to be fine in the NCP camp, Ajit Pawar had recently made several statements that do not align with their party’s views. Supriya Sule, on the other hand, continues to serve as MP with the added responsibility of being the working President.
