SRH vs DC : Who will win tonight’s battle for survival?

SRH vs DC : We have entered a key stage of this IPL season’s group stage matches which will decide which teams will go into the playoffs. It is thus a very critical period for teams like Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals, who are both at the bottom of the points table. They have struggled with their form, and it is necessary for both sides to score a win today. The Sunrisers have the home advantage in this match, but their bowlers have struggled to find and hold their momentum. While their batsmen have given some terrific performances so far, they, too, have been inconsistent to date.

Delhi Capitals, on the other hand, have only managed to win one game in this entire season. While the team has lacked confidence this year, they have a chance to create winning momentum tonight as they also won their last match against KKR. They have two strong all-rounders – Mitchel Marsh and Axar Patel in their playing XI, which gives them a major advantage. However, SRH also has all-rounders in Adil Rashid and Washington Sundar, backed by strike bowlers like Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and T. Natarajan.

Both teams also have great options in their squad that they are likely to explore, especially given that both teams haven’t done well yet. It will be interesting to see what options they explore in tonight’s do-or-die match. SRH vs DC will begin at 7:30 pm local time tonight.

Sunil Narine opened in the second innings with KKR keeper N. Jagadeesan, but this experiment failed as both of them were sent back to the pavilion in the first two overs. Venkatesh Iyer and skipper Nitish Rana held their ground for a short while before being dismissed by Moeen Ali and Ravindra Jadeja, respectively. With the pressure mounting up, Jason Roy and Rinku Singh stood tough and kept the scoreboard moving. Roy was then bowled over by Theekshana on 61 runs after having smashed 5 fours and 5 sixes. Rinku Singh continued batting with the lower order and reached a commendable half-century but could not hit a winning knock.

Chennai Super Kings eventually defeated Kolkata Knight Riders with a vast margin of 49 runs as the latter finished on 186 runs in 20 overs. Ajinkya Rahane was given the ‘Player of the Match’ for his excellent knock. The next match will be played between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals.
