SpaceX Accused of Firing Workers Opposing Elon Musk
Elon Musk’s SpaceX is facing heat from the National Labour Relations Board of the United States, which looks after the labour laws in the country. The board has accused the space agency of firing eight employees for circulating letters that call Musk a ‘distraction and an embarrassment’. Their official complaint states that the termination of their employment is against the country’s labour laws and that action should be taken against SpaceX accordingly. The letter was eventually received by the agency’s executives, which ultimately led to the employment termination.
The letter was reportedly written after Elon Musk made a series of tweets between 2020 and 2022 that were perceived to be “sexually suggestive”. The employees stated that this behaviour was against the company policies, and that suitable punishment should be levied on him. SpaceX is yet to respond to this matter, with no response being provided by Musk either. Meanwhile, SpaceX has recently launched 21 Starlink satellites in a major achievement from the Space Launch Complex in California on Wednesday.
