Smartphone cameras can now detect frauds
Smartphone cameras have made unprecedented progress in the past decade, but it is only the beginning compared to what’s in store for us in the near future. A US-based tech company called Alitheon has launched a new app called FeaturePrint that will help you identify fraudulent products that are widely sold in markets or online. This app reads the photograph of the product and catches if it is authentic in nature or a fake version. This will shield you from fraud no matter where you are.
Alitheon claims that instead of using barcodes and other verification systems, it simply uses artificial intelligence to catch hold of the surface details of the product and calculates its authenticity. While this will make smartphone cameras even more handy than before, there are several reservations regarding AI technology till date. But regardless of these reservations, AI technology will unlock new possibilities for modern technology and revolutionise its use, which includes the use of smartphone cameras. With special focus being given to improving cameras and merging them with artificial intelligence, people across the world will be able to use their phones for both complex and basic tasks on a daily basis.
