Shefali Shah opens up about the time she was ‘inappropriately touched’  

Several film stars and entertainment personalities have raised their voices against sexual harassment in the past by recounting their own experiences. Ace actress Shefali Shah has recently come forward with a memory of her own in an ANI podcast with Smita Prakash, where she revealed that she was touched inappropriately at a crowded place. The actress added that she felt somewhat responsible for the incident and decided not to talk about it.  

The ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ star recalled the time when she played the role of a woman who had been abused as a child in her breakthrough film ‘Monsoon Wedding.’ Shefali opened up on how playing this character resonated with her own personal experience. She also added that ‘everyone’ has faced a similar situation where they have not spoken about these experiences out of guilt. Shah has previously played the role of a police officer in the award-winning web series Delhi Crime’, which focuses on the issue of violence against women. Her performance was critically acclaimed by critics and audiences alike. She has also starred in several other hits such as ‘Waqt – The Race Against Time’, Satya, Rangeela and more.
