Sharad Pawar meets Eknath Shinde at CM residence
NCP leader Sharad Pawar has met Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde at Chief Minister’s official residence where he extended Shinde an invitation to the 75th Foundation Day of the charitable organisation Maratha Mandir. Pawar, who also happens to be the President of the organisation, tweeted that he had met the chief minister to discuss the issues faced by the artists and other people associated with Marathi film industry and theatre. They may likely arrange another meeting where these issues will be addressed, and steps will be taken accordingly.
However, speculations have been created by their meeting about a likely hidden political agenda behind it. CM Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena is currently in an alliance with BJP, and they continue run the state government after the fall of Uddhav Thackerey-led Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress alliance. However, it is unlikely that Eknath Shinde will be searching for other alliance options in assembly elections next year or anytime soon. BJP-Shiv sena government had recently decided to rename Ahmednagar after Ahilyabai Holkar, who was the Queen of the Malwa kingdom in the 18th Century.
