Shahrukh Khan gets candid on how he went broke after purchasing Mannat
Shahrukh Khan has built a legacy, unlike any other superstar that Indian cinema has produced. The actor has also amassed a huge fan following in his illustrious career, as well as a great deal of wealth, thanks to his commercial success. His famous Mumbai residence Mannat is among the most expensive properties in the city, where he leads his lavish lifestyle. However, Khan revealed during the launch of his wife Gauri Khan’s book ‘My Life In Design’ that he had initially gone broke after purchasing Mannat.
He said, “When we bought Mannat, it was way beyond our means, and once we were done buying the house, we didn’t have money to decorate it. We hired a designer, only to realise we couldn’t afford him. So, I turned to Gauri, as she had artistic talent, and asked her to be the designer for our house,” as per IANS. Gauri Khan also added that it was a challenge for her to design their home production Red Chillies’ office and that her husband is ‘hard to please.’ Shahrukh Khan was last seen in his box office hit Pathaan and will appear next in his upcoming action thriller Jawan.
