Shah Rukh Khan adds yet another count to his list of misdeeds: disrespectfully called out Telugu star Ram Charan
Shah Rukh Khan has stirred controversy over a remark he made about RRR actor Ram Charan during Anant Ambani’s pre-wedding festivities, where he was seen dancing alongside Salman Khan and Aamir Khan.The extravagant pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant attracted a star-studded guest list, including global icons like Rihanna, business magnates, and heads of state, along with Bollywood legends such as Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
During the three-day event, Shah Rukh Khan took centre stage, hosting the sangeet night with his wife, Gauri Khan, and captivating the audience with a performance of “Main Yahaan Hoon” from the movie Veer-Zaara (2004). However, controversy erupted when Shah Rukh Khan’s comment about Ram Charan during a dance performance with Salman and Aamir was criticized for its alleged racial undertones.
The incident occurred as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman, and Aamir struggled to master the hook step of the song “Naatu Naatu” on stage. Seeking assistance, Shah Rukh Khan called out to Ram Charan, who featured in the original song with NTR Jr. in the movie RRR. However, his choice of words, “Bhend idly vada Ram charan kahan hai tu???” sparked controversy.
In a now-deleted Instagram story, Zeba Hassan conveyed her disappointment, saying that she walked out on being disappointed by Shah Rukh Khan’s disrespectful behaviour towards Ram Charan.
