Samsung Developer Conference to Showcase AI, Health, and SmartThings Innovations

Samsung has announced a second developer conference this year, set for November 21, with an online event titled Samsung Developer Conference Korea 2024

While Samsung recently showcased One UI 6 at SDC23, fans hoping for a One UI 7 launch will have to wait until next year, likely with the Galaxy S25 series. However, this upcoming conference could offer a glimpse of the anticipated interface. The event will feature two keynote speeches and 29 sessions, covering its advancements in areas such as on-device generative AI, healthcare tech integration via Health-division and incorporating the Matter protocol into its SmartThings ecosystem. Although there was no direct mention of One UI 7 in the press release, one keynote—led by Samsung Electronics Device Platform Center Vice President Jeong Jae-yeon and Research Executive Director Kwon Ho-beam, will discuss enhancing the user experience across its software and devices.

Speculation suggests this presentation might provide insights into One UI 7’s progress or an update on when beta testing will begin. Rumored to bring a significant visual overhaul, One UI 7 has encountered delays, as seen in an unofficial preview video hinting at new design elements. Users can sign up on Samsung’s official site to attend the conference, where it is expected to reveal more about its latest technological advancements across various domains and potentially a sneak peek at the future of One UI.
