Samit Dravid, son of former India captain and coach Rahul Dravid, has been selected for India’s Under-19 squad for the upcoming series against Australia Under-19. This will be Samit’s first appearance in the Under-19 team. The series will take place in September and October, featuring three 50-over matches in Puducherry and two four-day games in Chennai. Mohamed Amaan from Uttar Pradesh will lead the 50-over squad, while Soham Patwardhan from Madhya Pradesh will captain the team for the four-day matches. Samit recently made his debut in senior men’s T20 cricket during the Maharaja T20 Trophy in Karnataka, scoring 82 runs across seven innings.
The India Under-19 squad for the 50-over matches includes Mohamed Amaan (captain), Rudra Patel (vice-captain), Sahil Parakh, Kartikeya KP, Kiran Chormale, Abhigyan Kundu, Harvansh Singh Pangalia, Samit Dravid, Yudhajit Guha, Mohammed Enaan, Chetan Sharma, Hardik Raj, Nikhil Kumar, Rohit Rajawat, and Samarth N. For the four-day matches, the squad will be led by Soham Patwardhan, with Vihan Malhotra as vice-captain. The team includes Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Nitya Pandya, Kartikeya KP, Samit Dravid, Abhigyan Kundu, Harvansh Singh Pangalia, Chetan Sharma, Samarth N, Aditya Rawat, Nikhil Kumar, Anmoljeet Singh, Aditya Singh, and Mohammed Enaan.
