Users Complaining about the rigorous calling from financial institutes
Arnav Ghatage, a Pune resident, has criticized Paisabazaar, RBL Bank, and Bajaj Finance for incessant spam calls despite being registered on the Do Not Disturb (DND) list
Ghatage, an analyst for a security company, shared his frustration on X after receiving nine calls in one day from these companies. He expressed that despite blocking the numbers, new ones kept calling him, and his repeated requests to stop the incomings went unheeded. Ghatage mentioned that he had taken car insurance through Bajaj Finance and downloaded the Paisabazaar app to apply for a credit card and check his credit score. However, he found it absurd to receive calls from RBL Bank since he doesn’t have an account with them. On average, he receives four spam incomings daily from these three companies. RBL Bank responded to his post with an automated message advising him to register on their DND list via their website.
They assured him that post-registration, he would not receive any more incomings or emails from the bank. Ghatage, however, questioned why he needed to register to stop the incoming when no registration was needed for them to start calling him. He also criticized the complexity of the DND process. Paisabazaar and Bajaj Finance have not yet responded to his post. This issue isn’t isolated, as similar complaints have been raised by other customers. For instance, in April, Dr. Sundar Sankaran from Bengaluru criticized HDFC for a barrage of spam incomings from telecallers offering loans. Despite blocking numbers, he continued to receive incoming from different ones. His frustration peaked when a telecaller’s manager interacted with him to question his response to the spam incomings. The recurring theme highlights the persistent issue of spam incomings and the inadequacy of the DND system in effectively preventing them, leading to widespread customer dissatisfaction.
