Raveena Tandon receives Padma Shri from President Murmu

The Government of India recently conducted the Padma Awards ceremony where President Droupadi Murmu felicitated all the awardees in the presence of PM Modi. Among the many esteemed names in that list was actor Raveena Tandon, who was awarded Padma Shri – the fourth highest civilian award in the country. The actress took to social media to express her excitement and gratitude for having bestowed this honour at the hands of the president. 

She shared a video of her receiving the award on her Instagram account and wrote in the caption, “Thankyou all for the love and honour. Thankyou for your blessings papa, mami and mom♥️🕉️ #padmashri.” Several well-known names from the media fraternity took to twitter to congratulate Raveena on her milestone, including ace actor Manoj Bajpayee, and she humbly sent responses to all of their wishes.

Raveena Tandon has appeared in many hit films across various Indian languages. She was last seen in Kannada blockbuster film ‘KGF: Chapter II’, which made a massive impact on the box office upon its release last year. She will be next seen in the upcoming romantic comedy ‘Ghudchadi’ opposite Sanjay Dutt.
