Ram Mandir Inauguration: States Issue Half-Days, Holidays on Jan 22
As the nation gears up to witness the historic Ram Mandir inauguration on January 22, the Centre and several state governments have announced half-days and, in some cases, holidays for the grand event. The Centre has declared all the government offices and educational institutions so that citizens can witness the ‘Pran Pratishta’ ceremony in Ayodhya. Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh have even declared a dry-day to be implemented on the day. Uttarakhand has declared that while government offices will have a half-day, education centres will be closed.
Other states like Assam, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Odisha, Haryana, and Tripura governments have also declared half-day in their respective states. Meanwhile, security has been amped up in Ayodhya to ensure that no safety measures are compromised. The Ram Mandir inauguration will be attended by influential personalities across the country and the world. Some of the most popular names include Amitabh Bachchan, Rajinikanth, Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, stalwart political leaders, as well as international delegates.
