Rajkumar Rao expresses joy over Filmfare win with a heartfelt message

Rajkumar Rao is rightly considered one of the most versatile youth actors in Indian cinema. He has delivered several praiseworthy acting performances in his career and was awarded the ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male)’ in this year’s Filmfare Awards for his role in ‘Badhaai Do’. The actor took to Instagram to express his gratitude and penned a heartfelt message about his experience at this glamorous event and also congratulated Alia Bhatt, who won the ‘Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female)’ for ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi.’

He wrote in his caption, “Such a wonderful evening it was. So many deserving people got the awards. Was truly happy to see #Vadh winning some important awards and #Badhaai to @aliaabhatt for her big win. Truly deserving. @filmfare.” Incidentally, Rao’s film ‘Badhaai Do’ won the ‘Best Film (Critics’) award, whereas Alia Bhatt’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ won the ‘Best Film’ award. Rajkumar Rao was last seen in Anubhav Sinha directorial ‘Bheed,’ which was released last month, and is currently filming two films – ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ and ‘Sri.’ He is also set to appear in the upcoming web series ‘Guns and Gulaabs.’
