PM Narendra Modi Launches a Fierce Attack on Opposition
PM Narendra Modi arrived in the Parliament yesterday to address the No-Confidence motion initiated by the Opposition. He spoke on a range of issues in the presence of all the Opposition leaders, including Congress leaders Adhir Ranjan Chowdhary, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and others, and criticised them for promoting family politics over the welfare of the nation. Amidst Opposition’s sloganeering on the Manipur issue, he talked about how Congress left the northeastern states deserted during their rule by citing Nehru’s inaction to protect Assam and Indira Gandhi’s decision of ordering armed forces to attack the people of Mizoram.
He also attacked Congress for defending and supporting people who raised anti-national slogans in JNU and those who called for the blocking of the Siliguri corridor to cut northeast from India. PM Narendra Modi then shifted the focus to Manipur and assured the Parliament that the central and state government were leaving no stone unturned to resolve the clashes and bring back peace in the state. He also reminded his own promise of making India the world’s third-largest economy in his third term. Towards the end, Modi also took a dig at the Opposition by asking them to come better prepared when they introduce a No-Confidence motion once again in 2028.
