PM Modi vows to work ‘even harder’ on completing 9 years in service
PM Modi took oath as India’s 14th Prime Minister in 2014 after BJP-led NDA government won the General Elections and took over the cabinet. The Modi government has officially completed nine years in service, and the Prime Minister has sent out a message on this occasion where he has expressed his gratitude. Addressing the citizens of India, PM Modi tweeted, “Today, as we complete nine years in service to the nation, I am filled with humility and gratitude. Every decision made, and every action taken, has been guided by the desire to improve the lives of people. We will keep working even harder to build a developed India.”
India will conduct General Elections next year, where political parties across the country will fight for power by holding mass rallies. BJP triumphed in the previous Lok Sabha elections with a huge margin by winning 303 seats on its own and forming its allied NDA government with 353 seats. In 2014 as well, BJP won with a huge majority of 282 seats on its own, whereas 272 seats are required for any party or alliance to form a government. PM Modi is expected to continue as the Prime Minister for a third term if BJP wins the 2024 election as well.
