PM Modi at a right stance to Eliminate Banerjee

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a fierce critique of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her party

The Trinamool Congress (TMC), accusing them of hindering national security and development efforts. Speaking at a rally in Kakdwip, Modi charged the TMC with allowing unchecked infiltration across Bengal’s borders, compromising national security. He alleged that the TMC’s primary tactic is to oppose development projects with the slogan ‘Eta Hote Debona’ (won’t let this happen). Modi asserted that the TMC, along with the INDIA bloc, is steering Bengal away from progress. He accused the TMC of siphoning funds from central schemes like Awas and mid-day meal projects, as well as obstructing initiatives such as Ujjwala gas and Ayushman Bharat.

Highlighting a ‘fake certificate scam’ under Banerjee’s administration, he criticized the TMC for allegedly granting reservations to Muslims at the expense of OBCs, a decision overturned by the Calcutta High Court. The Prime Minister urged voters to participate in the final phase of the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, promising to launch a ‘Viksit Bengal’ (Developed Bengal) with their support. He claimed that infiltrators are usurping opportunities meant for Bengal’s youth and altering the demographics in border areas, accusing the TMC of opposing the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) to facilitate this. In a subsequent rally in Mathurapur, Modi reassured the Matua community of Indian citizenship and positioned the election as a choice between a decade of BJP-led development and six decades of alleged Congress-led hardship. He emphasized that the people, from “Kashmir to Kanyakumari,” support this development journey.
