Parliament Security Breach: Four Individuals Detained 

A major Parliament security breach took place in Lok Sabha earlier today on the 22nd anniversary of the Parliament attacks. The Winter Lok Sabha Session was in process, and BJP MP Khagen Murmu from West Bengal was addressing the hall when the intruders were spotted entering forcefully and disrupting the proceedings, which forced the Speaker to adjourn the session. Videos surfacing online show that they were carrying canisters that produced coloured smoke even as the Members of Parliament vacated the premises while the security officials apprehended the intruders.


Four miscreants were apprehended by the security officials, who have implemented various security protocols in light of this Parliament security breach incident. They reportedly entered the Parliament from the Visitor’s Gallery in Parliament. Section 144 has been imposed in the area, as well as around the residences of PM Narendra Modi, HM Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, among other leaders. A thorough investigation has been launched to probe the security breach that took place today by Speaker Om Birla. Further details are now awaited.
