‘Oppenheimer’ Goes Houseful in Jammu and Kashmir’s Multiplex
Celebrated Hollywood filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s latest film Oppenheimer has opened to a huge response all over the world. Especially in India, the film has recorded several houseful shows across the country. In a welcome piece of news, Jammu and Kashmir’s sole multiplex is also running a full house in its theatre as citizens from all over the region have flocked in to watch the film, as per Wion. Vikas Dhar, the owner of the Jammu and Kashmir Multiplex, confirmed this news and described the film’s impact on the local population.
He said, “It’s the first Hollywood movie that has got so much response from the public. We had not thought that there would be such a rush for a Hollywood film in the valley. It has definitely surpassed our expectations. It is still going strong even after the houseful weekends.” Prior to Oppenheimer, Shahrukh Khan starrer Pathaan also witnessed houseful screenings at this multiplex theatre. While this region has witnessed a volatile past, the growing theatre business is among the biggest indicators of the improving living conditions of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
