One may have to think twice before planning a Vacation to Kashmir
A horrendous event was revealed in Kashmir when a Jaipur-based family was attacked by militants during their vacation.
Sunny and Farha Khan, a couple from Jaipur, endured a traumatic militant attack while vacationing in Kashmir. On May 18, during their trip to Anantnag with their children, they were ambushed by gunmen. Sunny suffered eye injuries, and Farha was shot in the shoulder while protecting their son, Haider. They were immediately taken to the Army’s 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar for initial treatment.
Farha received a shoulder implant, and due to the severity of Sunny’s eye injury, he was transferred to Sankara Nethralaya in Chennai for specialized care. Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced financial assistance of ₹1 lakh for each of them and assured ongoing support for their recovery. He condemned the attack, attributing the violence to the militants’ desperation under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s administration.
Despite the horror, the Khan family is now on the path to recovery, supported by the Army and the state government. Farha has returned to Jaipur for further treatment, while Sunny continues to receive care in Chennai, where doctors are attempting to save his remaining vision.
