‘OMG 2’ & ‘Gadar 2’ to Clash at the Box Office

The month of August is set to bring you two highly awaited Hindi film sequels – OMG 2 and Gadar 2. Akshay Kumar-starrer Oh My God 2, will be a rebooted second instalment of Oh My God, which starred Paresh Rawal opposite Kumar and became one of the big hits of 2012. On the other hand, Sunny Deol-starrer superhit Gadar will also return with a sequel, bringing back Ameesha Patel opposite Deol. Both films are slated to release on August 11, 2023.  

OMG 2 has made considerable changes in its theme, as visible from its poster. Akshay Kumar has donned Lord Shiva’s avatar, and he has been joined by ace actors Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam in the cast. Interestingly, veteran actor Arun Govil, who had famously portrayed Lord Rama on television, will reprise his character in this film as well. Meanwhile, Gadar 2 will also have Utkarsh Sharma and Simrat Kaur in the cast, wherein Utkarsh will portray Charanjeet, son of Tara Singh (Sunny Deol). Despite this clash, both OMG 2 and Gadar 2 are expected to do well at the box office.
