Offensive Tactics played by Pakistanis to obstruct the peace in J&K
Intelligence reports reveal that Pakistani terrorists are preparing to infiltrate Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) from various launchpads along the Line of Control (LOC)
These terrorists, from groups like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed, aim to attack security forces and minorities, particularly in the Poonch area. This tactic involves offence and defense: sending armed terrorists across the LOC while constructing defensive fortifications. LeT terrorists are stationed at Dhakki and Rattapani launchpads opposite Macchal, while “mixed” terrorist groups are positioned at Tatrinote and Mandol launchpads. Their primary objective is to target security forces and minorities.
Three Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists are located opposite Naushera, with plans to attack village defense guards and execute fidayeen attacks in Nagrota. A relatively new group, The Resistance Front (TRF), has also emerged, with members at Kathiala and Shaktigarh launchpads. Meanwhile, the Pakistan army is building an elaborate ditch-cum-bundh (DCB) in the 30 Corps area, responsible for much of Punjab province and headquartered in Gujranwala. This 1,950-meter-long anti-tank defense ditch, with a wall eight meters high, is about three kilometers from Dera Baba Nanak, north of Amritsar, near the international boundary. Approximately 1,490 meters of the ditch is complete, with 460 meters remaining. This new DCB appears to be a strategic measure to bolster defenses along the border.
