Odisha Train Crash: 101 bodies yet to be identified
The Odisha train crash shocked the entire nation as close to 300 people were killed, and over 900 were injured as three trains collided with each other in a deadly accident. After hours of rescue operations and reinstallation of tracks, the rail operations have finally resumed at the crash site. However, the bodies of 101 victims of this crash are yet to be identified and claimed, as per ANI. The rail and health authorities are proactively working to return their bodies to their families after following all due procedures.
The Odisha train crash took place in the Balasore district when the Shalimar-Chennai Coromandel Express collided with a goods train and then with the Yeshwanth-Howrah Express, which led to the deaths of so many people. A high-level probe has begun to ascertain the cause of the accident, and Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has indicated the possibility that this accident might be a planned conspiracy by criminals. While no cause has been ascertained yet, this investigation is soon expected to uncover details that will confirm whether it was an operational error that caused the accident or a criminal conspiracy.
