MS Dhoni undergoes a successful knee surgery
‘Captain cool’ MS Dhoni has recently undergone knee surgery right after winning his fifth IPL trophy last month. The former India and current CSK skipper flew to Mumbai for this surgery after Ahmedabad, where his team faced Gujarat Titans in the final. CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan informed PTI that his knee surgery took place in Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Mumbai which has been successful. This surgery was reportedly performed by Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala, who also happens to be in BCCI’s medical panel. Pardiwala has also previously operated on other cricketers including Rishabh Pant, who is still recovering from his injury.
MS Dhoni has already been discharged from the hospital and returned to Ranchi, as per the reports. There have been growing speculations about whether he will continue playing IPL or not. While he has not announced his return yet, the legendary wicketkeeper-batsman said that he would have to push his body “through a lot” to return in next IPL season. His successful knee surgery will come as a promising news for his fans, who will be eager to see him in action again.
