Modi to inaugurate Dwarka Expressway – Haryana Phase
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to mark a significant milestone by inaugurating the Haryana section of the Dwarka Expressway, aimed at alleviating traffic congestion between Delhi and Gurugram on National Highway 48. The inauguration is part of a broader initiative where the Prime Minister will also lay foundation stones for 112 national highway projects across the country, collectively valued at ₹1 lakh crore.
The Haryana segment of the Dwarka Expressway spans 19 kilometers and has been constructed at a cost of approximately ₹4,100 crore.
Comprising two major patches of routes, the 10.2-kilometer stretch from the Delhi-Haryana border to Basai Rail-over-Bridge distancing up to 10.2 Km, extending further to Kherki Daula, which is 8.7 km long.
This infrastructure project not only aims to enhance traffic flow but also provides direct connectivity to the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport in Delhi and the Gurugram Bypass.
Among the other projects to be inaugurated are the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) Package 3 in Delhi, Lucknow Ring Road segments in Uttar Pradesh, and the Anandapuram-Pendurthi-Anakapalli section of NH-16 in Andhra Pradesh. Furthermore, the Prime Minister will inaugurate various projects in Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, and several other states, amounting to a total investment of ₹20,500 crore.
Additionally, Prime Minister Modi will lay the foundation stones for various national highway projects across different states. Notable among these are the Bengaluru-Kadappa-Vijayawada Expressway in Andhra Pradesh, the Belgaum-Hungund-Raichur Section of NH-748A in Karnataka, the Shamli-Ambala Highway in Haryana, and the Amritsar-Bathinda corridor in Punjab.
These effortfull initiatives of Modi-led BJP are expected to play a crucial role in expanding the national highway network, fostering socio-economic development, generating employment opportunities, and facilitating trade and commerce across the nation.
