Modi Govt. Releasing the ‘White Paper’ to Unveil UPA’s Economic Policies?

The discussion around the ‘White Paper’ is vigorously doing rounds on social media as it appears that the Centre led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi will likely introduce this document in the ongoing Parliament Session. A news report by ANI suggests that this ‘White Paper’ will showcase the economic policies of the previous UPA government led by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and the poor state in which it left the nation’s economy. “The White Paper is expected to elaborate on the country’s economic misery during the UPA rule,” a source told the agency.

The source further added, “The negative impact on the economy will be highlighted through the White Paper on Economic Mismanagement during the UPA government. It will also take about the impact of positive steps that could have been taken (to manage the economy) at the time.” Quite recently, PM Modi had made strong jibes against the Congress and its UPA government partners before reiterating his promise to steer Bharat towards becoming the third-largest world economy in his third term as the Prime Minister.
