Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella Calls AI a ‘Tidal Wave’
Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella is among the most influential personalities in the tech world. In a recent conversation with Bloomberg, he compared the vastness of Artificial Intelligence, saying that it has the same impact today that the internet did in the 90s. “The Bill Memo in 1995, it does feel like that to me. I think it’s as big.” He further continued, “We in the tech industry are classic experts at overhyping everything. What motivates me is I want to use this technology to do what I think is at least all of us are in tech for, which is democratising access to it.”
Along with Satya Nadella, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman was also present in this interview, where they extensively spoke about the partnership between Microsoft and OpenAI. OpenAI was jointly founded by Sam Altman and Elon Musk before the latter parted ways with this company citing differences with Altman. However, Microsoft has joined forces with the AI giant and is looking to dominate the world of AI in the near future.
