Mercedes adopts ChatGPT for Voice Control
Mercedes has become one of the first automobile brands to integrate advanced AI in their system by installing OpenAI’s ChatGPT for voice control. Artificial Intelligence has been deemed as the future of technology that will mark its presence in every sector, and Mercedes has brought this theory to practical use with this move. Car drivers can use ChatGPT for several purposes, including getting information about the destination they are headed to. They can also give basic car commands such as turning the volume up or down and turning the seat warmer on or off.
However, ChatGPT is now in a race with Amazon, who is rallying hard to have Alexa installed in more cars to ensure that their rival does not capture a bigger share of the market. On the other hand, Mercedes also plans on installing the ChatGPT system in their cars in other countries using their own languages. The German brand thus has aggressive plans to ensure that all of their cars eventually transition into smart AI-driven cars in the near future. General Motors are also looking to welcome ChatGPT in their car systems as a part of their bigger brand collaboration with Microsoft.
