Manohar Joshi, 12th Chief Minister of Maharashtra No More! 

In recent events, former Maharashtra CM Manohar Joshi passed away from cardiac arrest. He was placed in the intensive care unit of Hinduja Hospital a day before his demise. His last rites will be performed at the Dadar on this day. Based on reports, Joshi had a history of brain haemorrhage and was admitted to the same hospital last year. 

Manohar Joshi served as the 12th Chief Minister of Maharashtra when the BJP-Shiv Sena Coalition came to power in 1995. He instated his career with the Legislative Council, wherein he was elected from Shiv Sena. Joshi served from 1972 to 89, which included his three terms of his service. He even served as a Mayor of Mumbai between 1976 & 1977. With the help of Shiv Sena’s ticket in 1990, he was elected to the Legislative Assembly.
