Girish Mahajan, the states Medical Education Minister said, “The medical colleges will help in producing efficient and specialized doctors. This will not only help in providing timely treatments but also address the issue of shortages of doctors in the state.”

The nine districts which will get these medical colleges to include Gadchiroli, Palghar, Thane, Amravati, Bhandara, Buldhana, Washim, Wardha and Jalna.
