Madonna Admitted to ICU due to ‘Serious Bacterial Infection’ 

Famous international pop star Madonna has contracted a major health condition that led to her admission to an Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Her manager Guy Oseary confirmed this news in an Instagram post with a brief statement wherein he confirmed that the singer would not be able to perform in her upcoming Celebration tour, which was due to commence on July 15 in Vancouver, Canada. However, he also mentioned that Madonna is recovering from her current condition and that while they have put a ‘pause’ to her upcoming tour, the rescheduled dates will be shared with the fans.

His statement reads, “On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several-day-stay in the ICU. Her health is improving; however, she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected. At this time, we will need to pause all our commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you as soon as we have them, including the new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.” The much-expected Celebration tour of Madonna was slated to take place across several cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, Detroit, Denver, Las Vegas, Boston and Atlanta. Further details of the pop star’s health condition and the future of this tour are expected to be divulged soon.
