LSG vs MI: Who will get closer to playoffs by clinching a win tonight?

Tonight’s LSG vs MI contest will showcase Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai Indians entering Lucknow’s home turf for what promises to be a fierce clash. Lucknow and Mumbai are in the fourth and third position of the points table, respectively, and only a few wins away from reaching the playoffs. MI has built up great momentum in their last few wins after their star players like Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan found their form. However, their opening partnership and top order have been somewhat inconsistent, which has allowed their previous rivals to get the better of them on several occasions.

Lucknow Super Giants, on the other hand, have their own list of pros and cons. They command a much better run rate and have remained in the upper half of the points table throughout this season so far. They have match winners like Marcus Stoinis, Nicholas Pooran, and Kyle Mayers, who can turn the tables even in the toughest of circumstances. While Lucknow has a great win record against Mumbai Indians, they have lost their last three games at home. Their home ground has been a low-scoring venue so far, which puts both teams at a disadvantage. This match is thus evenly poised, with perhaps a slight tilt in Mumbai’s favour.

LSG vs MI begins tonight at 7:30 pm local time.
