Lionel Messi reveals his FIFA 2026 plans
Lionel Messi is arguably the greatest footballer of modern times, a claim which is backed by outstanding records held by him. The Argentinian athlete led his team to a FIFA win last year, fulfilling his lifelong dream and the dream of millions of his fans. There have been several speculations ever since about his next FIFA world cup plans, and he has finally put those rumours to rest. Speaking to Titan Sports, Messi has said that he has no plans on playing FIFA again after his previous win.
His statement reads, “Qatar was my last World Cup. I’ll see how things go, but as it is now, no, I won’t be going to the next World Cup. It’s not important to me anymore.” Lionel Messi won the FIFA world cup for Argentina after 36 years, registering a historic win against defending champions France. Along with retiring from international matches, Messi also announced his departure from Barcelona and joined Al-Hilal club, which is based out of Saudi Arabia. Messi’s glorious career includes a towering 806 goals in the 1026 matches he has played so far.
