KKR vs GT: Who will reign in Eden Gardens today?

Today’s KKR vs GT match packs bouts of entertainment as both teams prepare their strategy at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Home team Kolkata Knight Riders have been struggling this season after having lost 5 of their 8 games so far. But playing at their home ground certainly puts them in a good position especially given that Jason Roy, Venkatesh Iyer, Rinku Singh, and Shardul Thakur have been in good form. While Andre Russell has been poor with the but, he has made sure to contribute with the ball. They also have the in-form Varun Chakravarthy, who has been in great touch, backed by their experienced star spinner Sunil Narine, who can also be handy with the bat.  

However, defending champions Gujarat Titans have been outstanding in this season. Shubhman Gill has arguably been their most consistent batsman, followed by their all-rounder skipper Hardik Pandya and an excellent middle order featuring David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, and Abhinav Manohar. And if, by chance, Gujarat’s batting fails, they also have spinner Rashid Khan and Mohammed Shami leading their bowling attack. On paper, Gujarat Titans have the upper hand; but Kolkata Knight Riders will have the extra motivation to win this match now that they are in a do-or-die situation. This match begins at 3:30 pm local time on April 29.
