KKR Vs GT : Kolkata Knight Riders bring down Gujarat Titans in a thriller run chase 

KKR Vs GT : The high expectations among fans bore fruit yesterday as two of the strongest teams clashed with each other with raging energy. Kolkata Knight Riders and Gujarat Titans faced each other in a high-scoring contest as the latter put up a mammoth 204 runs on the board in the first innings. They got a fairly decent start as Shubhman Gill scored a respectable 39 runs in 31 balls, followed by the fantastic knocks of Vijay Shankar and Sai Sudharshan, who scored 63 runs off 24 balls and 53 runs off 38 balls.  

The second innings was packed with even more edge-of-the-seat moments as KKR responded ferociously with Venkatesh Iyer scoring a superb 83 runs in just 40 balls, on the back of 8 fours and 5 sixes. Captain Nitish Rana continued to push the score with 45 runs to his name, and it was looking good for his side till he got dismissed. A major twist then came to the game as Gujarat’s stand-in captain Rashid Khan took a brilliant hat-trick to dismiss Andre Russel, Sunil Narine and Shardul Thakur. Just when hopes began to fade for Kolkata, Rinku Singh rose to the challenge by smashing 1 four and 6 sixes to take his side home in a heart-racing finish to the game. He was awarded player of the match with this impressive effort, and KKR currently finds itself in the second position with 3 wins and 1 loss.
