Kejriwal on Streets Pleading Votes to avoid arrest

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, during a roadshow in Moti Nagar, insisting voters to support the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) by pressing the ‘jhaadu’ (broom) button on May 25, hinting that this could prevent his return to jail. Kejriwal, currently on interim bail until June 1, emphasized the power of the people’s vote and appealed for support for AAP candidate Somnath Bharti. In his address, Kejriwal criticized the BJP, questioning its presence and responsiveness to the constituency’s needs. He actively engaged in street campaigns, participating in rallies for various AAP candidates alongside Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot.

Acknowledging the unity of AAP MLAs during his absence, Kejriwal expressed gratitude and emphasized the party’s commitment to serving the people. He asserted AAP’s track record of governance and its potential to shape the nation’s future, contrasting it with the fearmongering tactics of rival parties. Kejriwal also mocked the BJP’s alleged plans to destabilize AAP’s government, highlighting the party’s resilience and growth despite challenges. His message underscored the importance of continued support for AAP’s agenda and the consequences of political opposition.
