It was an Eye Opener: Shekhar Suman on Joining BJP

Amidst the enthusiasm of the third phase of polling for the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP received a significant boost by adding actor and TV personality Shekhar Suman to its ranks. At a press conference at the party headquarters alongside senior BJP leaders, including National General Secretary Vinod Tawde and National Media Department In-Charge Anil Baluni, Mr. Suman expressed his unexpected journey into joining the party, attributing it to a divine calling.

“Until yesterday, I had no clue that I would be here. Life is unpredictable; sometimes, you receive guidance from above, which you follow. I approach this with positivity and gratitude to God for leading me here,” he stated in Hindi. Drawing upon Lord Ram’s ideals, Suman emphasized his commitment to serving the nation without harboring any negative sentiments. He stressed the importance of actions over mere words, expressing his intention to contribute meaningfully to the party’s objectives.

“I believe in aligning with the vision of Lord Ram. My focus is solely on the betterment of our country. Words hold value only to a certain extent; it’s the actions that truly matter. I can deliver lengthy speeches, but their significance lies in the following deeds,” the actor affirmed, extending his appreciation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP chief JP Nadda, and others for their support. Accompanying Shekhar Suman in his move was Radhika Khera, former national coordinator of the Congress’ media department, who also chose to join the BJP, marking another notable transition within the political landscape.
