IPL Auction 2023: Starc sold for Rs 24.75 Cr, Cummins gets Rs. 20.5 Cr 

IPL Auction 2023 is making headlines across the nation as top cricketers across the world arrive in Bharat to participate in the biggest domestic cricket tournament in the world. The biggest talking point of this auction has been the whopping amounts at which Australian pacers Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins have been purchased. While Cummins created a record by being purchased in Rs. 20.5 crores by Sunrisers Hyderabad, Starc broke his record soon enough after being sold at a massive Rs. 24.75 crores to Kolkata Knight Riders.


The two pacers have thus become the only two players who have been sold for more than Rs. 20 crores in IPL history. International players, especially Aussie players, have swept the top positions in IPL Auction 2023. Aussie player Cameron Green has been sold to Mumbai Indians for Rs. 17.5 crores, whereas Sam Curran has entered Punjab Kings’ camp for Rs. 18.5 crores. Ben Stokes was bought by Chennai Super Kings for Rs. 16.25 crores, whereas Chris Morris also received the same amount from Rajasthan Royals before being sold. IPL Auction 2023 has thus set the tone for a promising upcoming season for fans around the globe.
