Apple CEO Tim Cook to inaugurate Indias first Apple stores in Mumbai & New Delhi
Apple is eyeing significant gains in India as they open Indias first Apple stores in Mumbai & New Delhi. The stores are said to be in prime locations of India’s financial and political capital. This move is set to provide a significant boost to India’s manufacturing goals and increase Apple’s market share. It has now been confirmed that the tech conglomerate’s CEO, Tim Cook, will arrive for these stores’ grand opening.
As per a TOI report, the store in Mumbai will open on April 18, whereas the one in Delhi will open on April 20. Tim Cook had previously come to India seven years ago on his first visit in 2016. His upcoming visit is thus the first time he will be in India after the country has become one of the top iPhone manufacturers in the world, and its sales are higher than ever. Cook’s visit to India also has another significant focus: meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This is likely related to the government’s plans to offer substantial incentives to tech companies looking to open manufacturing bases in India. However, it is yet to be confirmed whether Tim Cook will have a sit-down with the Prime Minister.
