Indian Drone Agriculture Gets a Boost with IFFCO Tie-Up

Efforts are being made to make Indian drone agriculture a reality as the Indian Farmers Fertilizer Cooperative (IFFCO) has signed a major deal with Drone Destination, a major player in drone manufacturing. The two entities have come to a landmark agreement wherein Drone Destination Agricultural Drone Spray Services to IFFCO as a part of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samridhi Kendras (PMKSKs), as per TOI. They have signed a Memorandum of Understanding, according to which the company will offer Agriculture Spray Services to 50 PMKSKs in nine states across the countries. This will enable farmers to use drones in their agriculture work.

Drone Destination CEO Chirag Sharma noted, “We are excited to partner with IFFCO and offer seamless kisan drone spray services for farmers with the help of our certified pilots and drones that shall be deployed at IFFCO’s PMKSKs.” IFFCO MD Yogendra Kumar also quipped on this significant development in Indian drone agriculture, saying, “We are completely aligned with PM Modi’s vision of the using of technology for farmers. Our newest products, Nano Urea and Nano DAP are revolutionary in terms of impact and usage of drones will accelerate its adoption.”
